Peptide Reconstitution Calculator
Enter the peptide in the vial, the water you add and the amount per draw. Get the concentration, the volume and the units on a U-100 syringe.

How the Peptide Calculator Works
Concentration is the peptide in the vial divided by the water added: a 10 mg vial with 2 mL of water holds 5 mg per mL. The calculator then does two more steps:
- Volume to draw = amount wanted ÷ concentration. 1 mg at 5 mg/mL is 0.2 mL.
- Units on a U-100 syringe = volume in mL × 100. 0.2 mL is 20 units.
- Draws per vial = peptide in the vial ÷ amount per draw, rounded down. 10 mg ÷ 1 mg is 10.
Eloralintide Vial Concentrations
A 10 mg eloralintide vial with 2 mL of water gives 5 mg/mL, or 0.5 mg in every 10 units. The table covers all three DBR Labs vial sizes at 1, 2 and 3 mL.
| Vial | Water added | Concentration | Per 10 units (0.1 mL) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 mg | 1 mL | 5 mg/mL | 0.5 mg |
| 5 mg | 2 mL | 2.5 mg/mL | 0.25 mg |
| 5 mg | 3 mL | 1.667 mg/mL | 0.167 mg |
| 10 mg | 1 mL | 10 mg/mL | 1 mg |
| 10 mg | 2 mL | 5 mg/mL | 0.5 mg |
| 10 mg | 3 mL | 3.333 mg/mL | 0.333 mg |
| 20 mg | 1 mL | 20 mg/mL | 2 mg |
| 20 mg | 2 mL | 10 mg/mL | 1 mg |
| 20 mg | 3 mL | 6.667 mg/mL | 0.667 mg |
Every DBR Labs vial is sealed lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder. See the eloralintide vials and the doses used in published trials in the eloralintide dosage guide.
Choosing a Syringe Size
A U-100 syringe holds 100 units per mL: 30 units in a 0.3 mL syringe, 50 in a 0.5 mL and 100 in a 1 mL. If a draw is larger than the syringe, the calculator flags it. Pick a larger syringe or use less water for a higher concentration.
mg to Units: Converting Peptide Amounts
To convert mg to units, divide the mg by the concentration in mg/mL and multiply by 100: at 5 mg/mL, 1 mg is 20 units. Units are a volume mark on a U-100 syringe, so the same mg gives a different number of units at every concentration.
| Concentration | 0.25 mg | 0.5 mg | 1 mg |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 mg/mL | 25 units | 50 units | 100 units |
| 2.5 mg/mL | 10 units | 20 units | 40 units |
| 5 mg/mL | 5 units | 10 units | 20 units |
| 10 mg/mL | 2.5 units | 5 units | 10 units |
Insulin Syringe Units to mL
On a U-100 insulin syringe, 1 unit is 0.01 mL and 100 units is 1 mL. The conversion is the same for every peptide, because units on the syringe barrel measure volume only.
| U-100 units | Volume |
|---|---|
| 1 unit | 0.01 mL |
| 5 units | 0.05 mL |
| 10 units | 0.1 mL |
| 20 units | 0.2 mL |
| 25 units | 0.25 mL |
| 30 units | 0.3 mL |
| 50 units | 0.5 mL |
| 100 units | 1 mL |
Peptide Calculator FAQ
How do you calculate peptide reconstitution?
Divide the peptide in the vial by the water added to get the concentration in mg per mL. Divide the amount you want by that concentration to get the volume to draw, and multiply the volume by 100 to get units on a U-100 syringe.
How much bacteriostatic water do I add to a 10 mg peptide vial?
There is no single correct volume. The volume only sets the concentration: 1 mL gives 10 mg/mL, 2 mL gives 5 mg/mL and 3 mL gives 3.33 mg/mL. More water means a lower concentration and larger draws, which makes small amounts easier to measure.
How many units is 1 mg of peptide?
It depends on the concentration. At 5 mg/mL (10 mg vial with 2 mL water), 1 mg is 0.2 mL, which is 20 units on a U-100 syringe. At 10 mg/mL it is 10 units.
How many units are in 1 mL on an insulin syringe?
A U-100 syringe holds 100 units per mL, so 1 unit is 0.01 mL. A 0.3 mL syringe holds 30 units, a 0.5 mL syringe 50 units and a 1 mL syringe 100 units.
How many mcg are in 1 mg?
There are 1,000 micrograms (mcg) in 1 milligram (mg). So 250 mcg is 0.25 mg.
How do you convert mg to units?
Units measure volume, not weight, so you need the concentration. Units = (mg ÷ concentration in mg/mL) × 100. At 5 mg/mL, 0.5 mg is 0.1 mL, which is 10 units.
