How the DBR Labs Research Team writes and checks every guide on this site.
Primary Sources Only
Every figure in our guides comes from a primary source we opened ourselves: peer-reviewed papers (The Lancet, NEJM, Molecular Metabolism, Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism), ClinicalTrials.gov records, and the developers’ own press releases. We do not use vendor blogs, forums or other roundups as sources for numbers.
Every Number Is Cited
Each number links to a numbered source at the bottom of the page. If a figure could not be confirmed from a primary source, we leave it out rather than estimate it.
Like-for-Like Comparisons
Trials differ in length, population and estimand (for example, results if everyone stayed on treatment versus results regardless of stopping). We say which basis each figure uses and flag when two numbers cannot be compared directly.
Prices Checked on Sellers’ Own Pages
Competitor prices come only from each seller’s product page, with the date we checked. We list where our own shop falls short, such as test reports not yet published.
Dated Updates
Each guide shows the date it was last updated. We review the guides when new trial results, registrations or company announcements are published.
